Don’t get me wrong, I love being a dietitian, but I have a very sore head from all the times I’ve banged it against a wall trying to co-exist in our weight-obsessed healthcare system over the past 10 years.
To be honest, I did take a break for a few years to protect my sanity, but then I thought, f*ck that; I’m not going to let a billion-dollar weight-loss industry stop me from helping people feel good about their bodies and love food.
So, I started my own clinic and pretty quickly booked out with clients who found my way of working a refreshing change to their previous dietitian encounters.
Because no one should
be showering with the lights off, skipping catch-ups with friends or too scared to go outside because they hate the way their bodies look.
We’re humans, too and have been sucked in and spat out by diet culture.
We’ve tried the latest diets, ridden the self-blame merry-go-round, and learned that no matter how many calories you restrict or workouts you squeeze in, we can’t control that number on the scale.
and want to get you pumped to flip through cookbooks again, eyeing recipes, booking a table at your favourite restaurant and actually feeling jazzed about it. And cooking for friends? We want to bring back the fun, the laughs, and the “Can I have seconds?” moments. Let’s turn food back into a celebration, not a chore.

As health professionals, we're told we're the experts, but actually, you're the expert of you. Our job isn't to tell you what to do but to work with you. We listen first and speak second. Our goal isn't to pile on more information but to help unlock the answers you already have within you and create a game plan specific to your needs and goals. If you're doing most of the talking in our sessions, we're doing something right. We don't dictate; we collaborate, educate, and cheer you on.
