How do I know if I have an eating disorder?

How do I know if I have an eating disorder?

If food, eating, or your body takes up most of your mental energy, it could be a sign of an eating disorder. We recommend using the Inside Out screening tool to get started. You don’t need to be underweight or follow extreme behaviours to have an eating disorder, most symptoms are invisible. These may include constant food guilt, obsessing over calories or weight, avoiding social situations involving food, binge eating, restricting, or feeling out of control around certain foods. If you’re stuck in cycles of dieting, emotional eating, or shame after eating, something deeper is going on. You deserve support—even if you don’t “look” sick enough. If food feels exhausting, let’s talk. Give us a call today
