What does sustainable weight loss mean?

We use the non-diet approach to help our clients achieve their weight loss goals and maintain them independently. We focus on increasing the awareness and mindfulness of internal body cues and external food triggers to achieve more sustainable results. Non-dieting avoids common diet behaviours like restricting calories, frequent weigh-ins and recording calorie intakes. 

How We Work?

If you’re looking or lose weight fast from following a diet or a custom food plan then we may not be the right fit for you. While diets and food plans can be effective for weight loss they are more often than not unsustainable. It is only a matter of time before someone will become tired of restricting their calorie intake resulting in weight gain.

Over the years we have found that the most successful way to lose weight for good is to shift the focus away from dieting. We work closely with our clients to understand their daily behaviours and habits, to understand their identity and help them shift those daily habits to become healthy unconscious choices on a daily basis. Removing the need to diet ever again.

While this all may sound great, habits as you may be aware are hard to change and take time. That’s why we offer a free 15 minute consultation to make sure our approach is right for you.

How Many Sessions will you need?

Each individual will have different challenges and goals to address resulting in various amount of sessions. On average our clients will have a 90 minute initial appointment followed by 4-6 review sessions, each 30 minutes in length. For an accurate idea of how many sessions you will need we recommend booking in for a free 15-minute consultation over the phone.

What does an average session look like?

Step 1

Lifestyle & Nutrition Assessment

We start off with a broad assessment asking questions about nutrition knowledge, daily food intake, lifestyle, barriers to change, previous success/failures, baseline measurements. 

 

Step 2 

Goal Setting 

It’s hard to get somewhere if you don’t know where you’re going. In our sessions, we set clear, achievable and realistic goals to help our clients navigate their way to better health.

Step 3 

Monitoring & Progress

Plans change, life gets in the way and behaviour change is hard. We have regular review sessions to adapt and change goals as needed.
